The event, in collaboration with Sotheby’s, is planned as part of the Association’s cultural programme with the intention of contributing to support its activities in the next edition.
The fifth edition saw the involvement of nationally and internationally renowned artists of different generations who, by relating and dialoguing openly with the territory and the local community, contributed to the recognition of the Maremma territory as a cultural and artistic epicentre in continuous growth and development.
Hypermaremma has an increasingly institutional profile with a constantly growing research perspective. In the last two years, the Festival has undergone a radical change of direction: an important part of this fifth edition, in fact, was on the one hand the willingness to include critics in the project who wrote texts accompanying the works, thus enriching the range of voices, and on the other hand the collaboration of prestigious galleries inside and outside the national borders, which every year recognise more and more the social and cultural value of the Festival.
The next edition, in particular, will be salient because it will invest in the growth of the Festival by developing increasingly ambitious contemporary art projects and structuring Hypermaremma to consolidate it as a cutting-edge tool for cultural promotion.
Hypermaremma also allows for a glimpse at different future for art: the thought behind the project is always to create, piece by piece, a path that makes this discovery an immersive experience in all respects: immersive with the landscape and with the works that redesign and redefine it.
The constant growth of the festival and its potential drives us to imagine ever more ambitious projects that can become an integral part of the Maremma territory 365 days a year. Once again this year we have imagined the preparation of a fund-raising campaign that can support us, even if only partially, and contribute to the realisation of future projects.
For the occasion, the prestigious auction house Sotheby’s will generously bring its world-recognised fame and its many years of experience to support Hypermaremma, its objectives and values.
During the auction, works of art of recognised value will be auctioned off, designed and created by notable contemporary Italian and international artists carefully selected by a qualified commission. The auction will take place on Saturday, September 16th in the evocative setting of the La Macchia club, in Capalbio, and will be accessible by invitation only.
